ithil: (Soft Smile)

Every fiber of her being wished to reach out and touch him in that moment. But no, too many prying eyes watching her so carefully in that second. So she spoke with certainty, her dark eyes glinting with a promise. "I would enjoy accompanying you. And I would like to help you anyway I can." Perhaps she did not wish to be knee deep in arachnids, but she liked challenges. She liked more being able to be helpful to him.

Ithil had no worry in her mind that his abilities could not keep him safe. In truth, she had faith in his skills. It bled through his every move from the simplest to the quicker motions he made. But when she looked at Legolas Thranduilion, no, even when she thought about him... all she wanted was to be near him like she could not resist even if she wanted to. In a way, the feeling should terrify her. After thousands of years, such a dramatic feeling should shake the ground she stood upon. But she felt more alive than anything else and more so with each smile he gave her.

Ithil laughed at the look of adorable innocence that Rumil sent Legolas before speaking to the young prince in confidence. "Oh, he will own up to it when there are less present. I can tell he already approves." Nodding sagely, she felt her heart beat faster at the look in his eyes. "Do not worry yourself, neither of us will disappoint. But I should warn you, my companion is likely out to see if he can pull something off by means of tricking your father in some way. If so, I pray he does not start some war between the realms." Not that he would, but it was better if they both knew and tempered the damage.

"You know what to say to make a lady feel important." Angling her head, a brow rose slightly in flirtatious jest. She may tease him, but Legolas did seem to know what to say to her to make her feel important and like someone important. "I know that you would have been pleased with simply my visit, but I do not want to set off your father's dislike instantly." Even if the woodland king seemed to prefer her as an emissary, she did not wish to push it for Legolas' sake. She could take the dislike, but it would make the young prince's life far more difficult.

Her lips still seemed to tingle from the swift touch to his as she balanced with ease upon the branch. Both brows rose just a little as she waited for him. "I will explain in detail what I see later when I have your ear and no where to go. For now, I will take you at your word and look forward to the deeper wood." Watching him easily ascend into the branches, she gave a soft gasp as he stole another quick kiss.

Licking at her lips, she blinked her eyes open and smirked at him playfully. How long has she waited to not be alone anymore? She did not even realize how alone she had been until this moment. "Why would I wish to go alone when I have one of the best guides the Woodland Realm has to offer?" It took more concentration than she wanted to admit to get past the heated jolt that came from his kisses. Not that she wished to get over that feeling. No, she needed him close like this and simply knew not how to explain it.

"I would ask you to give chase, but I might be at a grand disadvantage." She never got to wander the realm here as she did in Imladris, so he would have all of the advantage in that case. But in a way, she wanted to just... dally a bit and keep him close. That was why she started to lightly follow across the tree limbs pacing the group on the ground as she scaled a little higher into the canopy. "Unless you have another idea?"

Pulling up into a higher limb, she knelt on the branch facing him reach out and catch one of the braids in his hair and pull softly. "I am ever open to any of your ideas." Stilling just a bit, she allowed herself to just take him in, a brilliant smile on her face. "I do believe my March Warden was ready to string me up as bait on next patrol if I had to stay put a moment longer. After so many years... I cannot say I have ever been so swept away by someone before. If I may be so bold in admitting such..."
